Scotty B the tent wrecker

Scotty dropped his bay off for some suspension surgery last night.Had previously fitted adjusters in the beam but they wernt quite the ticket. The van was too high and rode like a pig. A few hours of tinkering and re setting the torsion bars on the rear it now looks a lot more respectable. While I was at it repaired the drivers door mechanism and fettled the motor to run better.happy campers all round ready for the spingtime cruising

More graft for the 54

The 54 barndoor single is all up in the air having had dropped spindles fitted to the front, whilst under there I have been looking at whats missing and goin thru the boxes finding parts .Waiting on delivery of gearbox conversion parts as soon as they are here it will be fitted in.Time to start building this up now doors are next new seals thru out.

"Commit" the 72 std 1200 bug

long term project belonging to my fiance owned since she passed her test . Time took its toll on the body work!!

Taken off the rd last year i think was a while ago....

Basically needs lower 8 inches all the way round not my favourite pastime but we have one side back together now prob taken me longer than needed but its how it is done right or not at all

pepe has new boxter alloys

Tim has fitted the boxter rims to pepe makes all the difference

need to play with tyres sizes but we getting there

Barndoor getting some attention

Finally we have some action on the barndoor
full steam ahead with suspnsion mods removing the gearbox so a bug box can be retro fitted along with the bigger engine sitting in the back. Dropped spindles will follow shortly ,waiting on a few bits to arrive but things are under way intial deadline for the volksworld show but all depends on how quick we can get the bits together.

Moonlighting for the day

Monday I went to owen warlows, the great parts hunter. This place is awesome tho he needed a helping hand in the mechanical dept getting a bay crewie ready for mot and sort a gearlinkage problem. Also fitted engine in and rewired for dynamo set up.Fingers for crossed mot time and going to its new owner.Im sure to be back here helping owen out as he gets cars in for me to fix

More presents picked up for the barndoor

Next shipment of parts in for the barndoor single cab.Wont be needing the new 1914cc lump for awhile as gearbox is still being sorted, next on list is to get that bottled up and check all wiring loom out as it seems to be a little to be desired.

What goes up must come down

Karens van is now ready for a suspension tweak front and back so she can climb in a little easier.Porsche boxter alloys will follow once tyres are sorted out.

My personal project at the moment

My 52 zwitter will be rolling low with 5 inch narrow beam and rear suspension to match. Currently off floor pan, spent most of its life in east germany only to be robbed of all it valuable pieces when imported to the uk.Its a complete bare shell and will be built up from what i find at shows and auto jumbles. All structural body work is in fine conditon all heater channels in top conditon body has fared a little worse from hard life in the former east germany.Updates will follow as works is carried out in between customers jobs.

Welcome to my blog
